This is what I've been gradually working with for the past few weeks, mostly as a way to break the weird art-blocky thing and the frustration with my mistakes. It took ages, but I'm pretty pleased that I've actually come out with something a little different.
Changes to Blazov: 1, He next wore the wrist band or the watch, it's something I added. I added the watch so I could add in a small aspect of his character; he times himself often. 2, His hair is now in more of a mohawkish style, since his old hair style looking impossible to me. I kept the parts hanging down, but I tried to make them look a lot less "solid" then they've been in the past so it's not some weird gigantified strand. 3, I put more work into his katana, trying to make it look more realistic. 4, I changed the sleeveless shirt slightly and stuck on a jacket with the sleeves rolled up, which gives him three styles based on the weather; as he is in the pic (average weather), jacket sleeves rolled down (cold weather) and the jacket off (warm weather).
I didn't color this 'cause I didn't want to ruin it with the terrible coloring pencils I have (if you look at most of my past work, you'll see what I mean). I may try coloring it through a different method, but it really depends on the success of said method.
Well, I hope the picture turned out okay!
Note: That's supposed to be some artifact that he's found in his right hand, just in case you were wondering what it was, lol.
